We have finally moved in today.

Yesterday was the official handover of keys fr Johnny. The feeling was awesome. Finally its over, can lock the doors....

Cleaning of Our New Home

Today we decided to clean our home as the defects are more or less rectified. We cleaned the common toilet and mop the floor of the whole house. After mopping, the floor has this 'clean' feeling, hehe...so nice.

Yesterday was the 6th day renovations is in progress. The electrical rewiring, false ceiling and TV feature wall were done. However, we observed some were different from the perspective drawings. Informed our ID about it and they will complete them.

Cool Air Finally

Last Saturday, our new Samsung system 3 air con was installed. The air con guys from Gain City arrived about 9.50am. We had to make a decision where the trunkings are to be laid. Our ID, Johnny suggested to have them exposed in the room. The air con guys helped us to conceal the master bedroom trunkings by fixing a false beam using the materials our neighbour threw outside the coridoor. We really appreciate the kind gesture and were very satisfied. They finished everything around 8.45pm. What a tiring day for us but this is only the beginning. There is more to come......................

ID & Renovation

We decided to award the renovations works of our home to Johnny Lee of A & D Interior Decoration Pte Ltd. His quote was reasonable and he is also very friendly and comfortable to talk. Can feel that he has passion in his job and will do his very best for us. Most importantly, we believe and trust him. Looking forward to see him tranform our home........

Turn on of Electricity & Water Supply

Our electricity and water supply was officially turned on by a Singapore Power staff last Saturday. He thought us a lot of things like how to on and off the mains and what to do when there is a power supply cut off, etc etc......We turn on the taps to test if water was flowing and also tested all the individual electricity plugs to ensure they were working well.
The timber skirtings and the timber flooring have been rectified. Hopefully the rest can be done by next week as promised.

"Move Earth" & Checking of Defects - 11 August 2007

The lunar 7th month is nearing. Last Saturday was a good date to 'dong tu' according to the chinese calendar. The purpose of 'dong tu' is to stimulate start of renovations, just in case we need to do any minor works since our renovations have not started.



We also checked for defects. The whole house was filled with masking tapes. We passed the defect list to the Building Service Centre (BSC). A HDB representative went up with us to double check our list. He was a very nice guy and filled us with a lot of informations. He told us that rectification will be done in 2 weeks time, hope the retifications will be done soon............

Finally we can enter and view our house for the very first time as we were not suppose to enter the house on the 'Open Door Procedure'.

Key Collection Day~~!!!!!!!!

The keys to our very 1st home is in our hands finally. Heehee........

HDB 2nd Appointment - 1st August 2007

Havent been updating this blog for a few months. Finally good news !!!!! Key collection date is revealed to be on 1st August 2007 @ 1.10pm. Lalalalalalalalala. Cant wait to get my hands on the keys.....................

PCD Brought Forward~~~

Good News !! The Proable Completion Date (PCD) of our contract N2C36 has been brought forward from 4th quarter 2007 to 3rd quarter 2007. Looking forward to collect our keys from 1 July 07 - 30 September 07.

Booking Fee Refunded ~~~!!!!!

Our booking fee is finally credited to our bank account today. Hope we will get news from HDB soon for our 2nd appointment, which is the collection of keys. Stay tuned..

1st Appointment - 20th January 2007

Today is our 1st appointment date. We signed a lot of documents and were told that the refund of our booking fee will take 4 weeks. We will be back at HDB for 2nd appointment to collect keys.

HDB 1st Appointment

Our necks can finally stop growing long because we got our HDB 1st Appointment date, 20 January 2006 at 10.20am. The purpose is to pay 5% downpayment for the flat, using our CPF. In exchange, we will get back our $2k booking fee. That is what we are looking forward to. Hehehehehee..........
So the next step is to wait for the flat to be completed. HDB will schedule a 2nd appointment, that is when we will have to empty our CPF and take loan to finance the flat, then they will hand us the keys to our new home !!

Delay of 1st Appointment

We have yet to receive our 1st appointment date to pay the 5% downpayment. The option fee of $2000 is valid for 3 months only. Jere called the customer service officer in charge to verify matters. It seems that Hdb were waiting for our Additional Housing Grant (AHG) form. We did request for it, but decided not to apply for it because we realised we were not eligible. Hdb also forgot to remind us for the form. Luckily, we called them. Hdb will arrange a date for us go down and pay the 5% through CPF and we will be able to get our $2,000 back. YaHoo......
